Measured examples
Real S-parameter files, read step by step: what each curve says, which numbers matter and where the surprises are.
Each example starts from one Touchstone file: a duplexer, a filter or an antenna measured on a vector network analyzer, a vendor model, or a manufacturer's published component data. The plots on these pages are drawn directly from the data, and every number quoted in the text was computed from the file, not copied from a datasheet. Where a file is our own measurement you can download it and open it yourself, for example in the online S2P viewer or in the RF View app.
The test equipment serial numbers have been removed from the file headers; nothing else in the data has been changed. One example uses a synthetic data set made for testing pass/fail screening, and it is marked as such on the page.
- Band 71 Duplexer, Measured: Loss and Isolation2026-11-05This Band 71 duplexer, measured as a raw part, loses 1.0 to 2.8 dB in the TX band and 1.3 to 2.3 dB in the RX band, with at least 57.7 dB of TX-to-RX isolation. The worst loss sits on the band edges, not in the middle.
